The limbo between worlds, the imaginal vision | Arbiter

“The pause, the void, the silence, they are the middle ground,” writes the magazine Arbiter in one of its latest issues, “That limbo between worlds that the shaman Selene Calloni Williams calls ‘The Imaginal,’ where everything is possible. Because everything that can be imagined can also be realized, and everything that has been realized before was imagined. It is the creative act. Like the Tibetan Bardo, that suspended time between one incarnation and another. To experience it, one simply needs to sit in silence with closed eyes, listening to one’s breath, perhaps pausing for a moment in between inhalation and exhalation (two very relaxing pauses), observing what happens within us. The pause fosters creativity and innovation, carving out space to bring forth new ideas. It is a state of no-mind, of focus, of presence, and of total freedom. Let’s rediscover it.”
